Lakewood 4 -0 Kinsale.
3 more points in the bag for Lakewood u12s today. Right from the start Lakewood attacked the Kinsale defence forcing the keeper into 2 saves early in the game and getting 2 corners early on. Kinsale threatened about 10 minutes in with a quick counter attack but Cathals safe hands managed to deny them.
Fintan O Leary was the first to score for Lakewood , a loose ball in front of goal hammered home, and that was followed up with another goal by Rory O Flynn getting on the end of a rebound from a long range effort by Evan O Driscoll. Rory was unlucky not to have 2 more before the break with 2 great header going just over.
2-0 at halftime. Kinsale came out a bit more determined but again Lakewoods determination shone through and Arron Murphy beat the keeper to give the homeside a 3-0 lead.
Shadrach added a fourth goal about 5 mins from time
Great team effort put in today. Everyone played brilliantly. Still hanging on to 2nd in the league.
