A good team display gave the home team a comfortable victory over visitors Strand utd. On the front foot from the start and with the aid of the breeze, Lakewood pinned their opponents back and a host of chances went a begging before we finally had the opener when Padraig ODriscoll whipped in a corner which was flicked home by Fionn OShea at the near post. Within 5 minutes it was 2-0 when the same duo repeated the dose, and just before the half time whistle a firmly struck shot from distance by Richard Cullinane made it Three. The second half continued to be dominated by Lakewood without further addition to the score to garner another 3pts in their league aspirations.
