Lakewood girls were on the losing side of a hard fought Singleton Cup Quarter final on Saturday 11th March
Having had the best of the first half with a number of chances they were unable to carve out the decisive scores. The winning goal came from a quick break by Bandon on the right wing with an unstoppable shot from the left winger on the 51 st minute. Lakewood tried hard in the aftermath to draw level but could not convert their chances. In a hard fought game best for Lakewood were Sadbh McGoldrick, Niamh O Shea, Sophie O Connell and Holly Kierans.
Special mention to stand in goal keeper Lily May O Farrell, who once again performed superbly when called upon after 5 minutes when normal keeper Ally Mullins O Keefe got injured and had to leave the field of play.
