U12 Div 4

Lakewood 1 – 1 Richmond.
Thriller of a game today at Lakewood. Huge game for both teams Lakewood holding 2nd in the table and Richmond 3rd with 3 points between them. From the start it was end to end.
Richmond got on the score sheet first about 10 minutes in with a great lone run and strike from their man up front. Lakewood dug deep and Arron Murphy was unlucky not to level up 2 minutes later. 10 mins from the break and captain Alex Kvanagh hit a long shot from inside the center circle which the keeper got a hand to could not keep it out.
1-1 at half time.
As expected the second half saw both teams up the pace and defenders on both team had their work cut out. Cathal O Driscoll made 4 outstanding saves in the second half and had a few corners to deal with, as did the Richmond keeper. Shadrach, Christian and Charlie were unlucky not to score. And in the last seconds of the game Rory O Flynn was unlucky not to score with the last kick of the game when the ball bounced awkardly in the six yard box.He coudnt get a good connection, and it went wide by inches. The lads came off exhausted, huge respect to them.
