U13a had an great 3-1 win over Killinardrish today.
Lads played excellent in a game that was an uphill battle from the start as every decison seemed to go against them.
Ciaran Buckley scored first with a fantastic shot after a solo run around 2 defenders. Rory o Flynn added a second a few minutes later .
Killinardrish scored 1 just before the break. Alex o Regan hit the post 30 seconds before the break.
Lakewood had 3 or 4 brilliant chances early in the second half. Were denied by the keeper and the posts.
2 minutes to go and Alex O Regan (1st game back after an operation) scored with a chip of the keeper almost from the right hand corner flag, after taking on 2 defenders. If Messi or Neymar had scored this goal it would be considered their best.
Everyone on this team played on a higher level then usual today. Great to get the win in a tough, last game of the year.
