Lakewood played their part in an entertaining game in moneygourney but with a weakened side due to illness and injury it was always going to be a tough ask against the reigning champions. Lakewood gave their all and actually took the lead on 10mins when James Dwyer forced home from close range. Douglas hit back and two goals in 2 minutes plus another on the stroke of half-time made it 3-1 at the break. First goal of the second half was going to be pivotal and an unfortunate soft concession by Lakewood made it 4-1 and game over. Jamie Dineens super strike from inside his own half was Lakewoods highlight and thanks goes out to all the u13s who made up the numbers and played really well against tough opposition.
