Magnificent long distance strikes from Ringmahon in the first and last minutes put the gloss on what was otherwise a tough encounter for the premier league leaders against visitors Lakewood who again showed great courage in defeat. After the early hammer blow Lakewood settled and Adam O’Sullivan stunned the home side with an equaliser on 25 mins. Numerous corners for Ringmahon were well defended until minutes before the interval a clearance to the edge of the box was returned with interest for 2-1 at the break. Ringmahon pressure yielded 2 goals in the first 20 mins second half but Lakewood kept at the task and were rewarded when Fionn O Shea made it 4-2. Lakewood ensured a far from comfortable last quarter for Ringmahon but came up a bit short on the day. Nathan Davis and Conor Eagles were excellent for Lakewood while stand in keeper Morgan Foley was our man of the match with a super display.
