Ali Hurley netted the first. Claire Nevin releasing Niamh O’Donoghue down the wing who’s cross was met with a volley from Hurley at the back post.
In the second half Lauren Murphy pulled off a spectacular double save from the penalty spot to keep Lakewood ahead. Douglas did get on the score sheet 5 minutes later from an uncleared ball in defence. 1-1
Lakewood finished the stronger needing a win to keep their league title hopes alive. Megan Sheehan kept her cool in the box to nose Lakewood ahead and Daire Kiely finished superbly from outside the box to seal the win.
Great squad performance with fantastic support from all the families on the line. Shout out to all the Mom’s!
