Under 17 Ted Healy Cup Quarter Final.

Ringmahon 1 Lakewood 2. Lakewood and Ringmahon lined up in a heavyweight quarter final and it didn’t disappoint in what turned out to be an epic physical and skill full quarter final. Ringmahon took the lead after 10 minutes with a cracking shot from the edge of the box. The game ebbed and flowed for the rest of the half without further scoring. Lakewood started the 2nd half like a house on fire and equalised through a penalty dispatched to the net expertly by Tyreik Wright after he was fouled in the box. Lakewood continued to press and scored what turned out to be the winner on 65 minutes after Daniel Akinrinbola latched on to a ball after some good play and let fly with a rocket that flew into the corner from the edge of the box. It was cut and thrust for the rest of the game but Lakewood deservedly held out for the win. While the whole team played brilliantly a special mention has to go to the whole defence(Stephen O’Connor Ben Sheehan Thomas Flynn and Derek Feeney) and Tyriek Wright and Jack Allen. Onwards and upwards for the rest of the season lads.
