Lakewood Athletic A 2 Bandon 2.
Point a piece for these fierce rivals who have come up through the divisions together though on chances alone Lakewood will see it as 2pts dropped. Behind after just 60 seconds the hosts grew into the game but a series of attacks frustratingly broke down as the final ball or shot were hurried and snatched at to leave it 0-1 at the break. 10mins into the second half it was 1-1 when Adam O’Sullivan placed a neat header into the corner from Jack Mellericks free kick. Lakewood poured forward restricting Bandon to hopeful balls over the top but it beared fruit with 10mins to go when hesitation between keeper and defence let the Bandon striker in to poke home the lead goal. Back came Lakewood and Jack dusted himself down with 5 mins left after being fouled 25yards out on the right to swing in a lovely free kick which was beautifully glanced home by Fionn OShea for a deserved equaliser. Conor Eagles, Jack Mellerick, Liam Linehan and the scorers were best for Lakewood.
