Lakewood u14 premier team lost out to a slick Carrigaline side who struck early and late to gain a convincing win but only after getting a mid game fright from a makeshift home side. Forced to field a new defence, Lakewood were 3 down in 15mins but settled and fought back bravely, forcing 3 good saves from the visiting keeper before half time and scoring the goal of the game early in the second half through Daniel ODriscolls fine volley for 3-1. Olan Buckley almost made it 3-2 shortly after but Lakewood were caught pushing forward late on and though Michael Brennan made some good saves one on one, late goals put a gloss on the scoreline for Carrigaline.
