Back to winning ways for this Lakewood team after the recent shock 3 defeats in a row. Lakewood started well in control with only the odd attempted fast break from the visitors to trouble them. Halfway through the first half and Lakewood looked in danger of being out of sight at 4 nil up. However, once this team senses goals it unfortunately loses shape with players hungry to make it on the score sheet and the home team were caught short from a fast break. Lakewood had hit the bar and posts several times in the first half and were unlucky not to be further ahead than 4-1 at half time. Lakewood were warned that the first goal in the second half would be critical and Lakewood needed it to kill off the opposition. The home team obliged and were soon 6-1 up before the team lost its shape once more to concede from the fast break. A final goal for Lakewood sealed the score in what was a comfortable win however the team needs to learn how to maintain discipline in all matches to the end.
