U13 Div 3

Carrigtwohill 0 Lakewood A 8
A very convincing win for the 13a squad yesterday at Carrigtohill. A fantastic display of team football yesterday saw Lakewood running the show from the start. The first five minutes saw relentless attacks and the first goal was knocked in by striker Arron Murphy after a pass  from Dylan Quinn. 3 minutes later he got another after taking on 2 defenders on the edge of the centre circle and breaking through for a 1 on 1 with the keeper.
Ciaran Buckley added another to the tally with a solo run up the left wing and a shot inside the near post.
Captain Luke Harris and Alex Kavanaghs defensive strength was too much for Carrigtohills counter attacks ,which gave Cathall O Driscoll very little to do in goal, and wing backs Sean “marcello” O Neillll (man of the match) and Alex Mullins easily dealt with attempts down the sides. Both very unlucky not to score later in the game.
Pete Kelly scored with a beautiful curling strike from just outside the box and Alex O Regans hit the net just before the break.
Carrigtohill pushed hard after the restart but it resulted in Brian Dore slotting home another for Lakewood after the backs played a textbook counterattack, ball over the top.
Chris Warren added his name to the score sheet after a perfectly executed corner which we had practiced to perfection before the game.
Everyone played on top form yesterday, and all the luck seemed to go our way.
