Lakewood under 12s were defeated by Strand Utd. this morning in Lakewood. Lakewood started off brightly yet unlucky with long range efforts from Jack O’ Sullivan, Diarmuid O’ Keeffe and Daniel Foley. Strand Utd. came back into the game and went 3 -0 up before half time. Lakewood keeper Shane O’ Sullivan pulled off some great saves to keep Lakewood in the game. Lakewood players kept battling in the second half and were rewarded when Diarmuid O’Keeffe score a cracking goal to put Lakewood back in the game . Strand United finished the game on top and the final score was Lakewood 1 Strand United 7.
