For two thirds of this game Macroom were chasing their visitors who took the lead on three seperate occasions only to lose concentration late on and leave a result behind to a flurry of late goals. A brace from Fionn OShea and a fine finish by Jack Mellerick had Lakewood 3-2 up early in the second half but a silly penalty concession lost the focus of the team and 2 quick Macroom goals followed to turn the game on its head and gave a flattering result to the victors.
