Passage 1 Lakewood Athletic 2.
A super result for a battling Lakewood side who gained their first win of the season against previously unbeaten Passage in Rockenham park.
Physically stronger, the home side had most of the early pressure and came close on a few occasions but Lakewood seemed capable of hurting them on the break with keon and Jonah working hard. Excellent centre backs Nathan Davis and Alan Sullivan kept Passage at bay until just before half time when the ball was bundled in at the far post for the lead goal . The introduction of fresh legs to midfield in Michael Murphy, and the buzzing Colm Quigley upfront changed the course of the game as midway through the half Michael put Cain in for a fine finish for 1-1 and in the dying minutes Colms driven corner was fumbled into the net by the keeper for a winning lead for Lakewood who comfortably saw out the remaining moments for a great result.
