A frustrating result for Lakewood who could do with a change of fortune in front of goal and could easily have taken something from a gritty team performance . Backed up by a number of lads from the u14s, they gave as good as they got for long periods but couldn’t find the final touch in the opposition box. Behind at half time only to a speculative cross which floated in over a helpless keeper, Lakewood piled forward for most of the second half without success before conceding a late 2nd to leave empty handed. Great commitment from all and thanks to u14 manager Colum for supplying some of his players at short notice.
