Park Utd 2 – 2 Lakewood A
Tough game today. Lakewood were on fire in the first half , 2 early goals from Ciaran Buckley put the away side up in the first 15 mins. Great defending from Luke Harris and Rory O Flynn denied the home side any reply . Park battled hard forcing Alex Kavanagh in goal, to pull off some great stops just before the break but scoreline remained 2-0 at the break.
10 mins in and Lakewood gifted Park with an own goal which put them right back into it.
A resulting corner put them level 5 mins later.
The next 15 were a tense affair with both side giving away fouls as the pressure came on to secure the win. Lakewood had more chances to score in the closing minutes. Dylan Quinn was unlucky with a shot from the edge of the box denied by the keeper. Barry Keane hit the crossbar with a brilliant lob from 30 yrds out. And header specialist Rory O Flynn was also unlucky.
1 point each sees Lakewood stay 2nd and Park drop to 4th.
