The growing confidence in this new look Lakewood side after a good pre season shone through in the opening game as they twice came from a 2 goal deficit to secure the points at Richmond.
The hosts raced into an early 2-0 lead before the switch of Jamie Dineen to centre forward changed the course of the game. 2 lovely finishes by Jamie and new signing Daniel O Driscoll had it level at the break. Early second half sloppy defending had Richmond 2 in front again before Jamie and Daniel each completed their hat tricks and Morgan Foley slammed home the seventh in the final minutes. A good start to the season and plenty room to improve in the coming weeks the more they play together.
