Churchvilla 0 – Lakewood 4.
Lakewood u12a had another convincing win today against Churchvilla in Ballyduff.
Arron Murphy scored first for the visitors 5 mins in with an assist from Cathal O Driscoll . Cathal launched the ball up field from a kickout and Arron caught it with his chest , turned it past the defender, used a burst of speed to gain a bit of space and belted it past the keeper.
10 mins after Rory O Flynn put one past the keeper into the right bottom corner after Evan O Driscoll supplied a perfect cross.
Cathals goalkeeping was tested with a few long range shots but was well up to the task.
A quick counter attack a minute from half time saw a great pass forward from Alex Kavanaugh hit the feet of Dylan Quinn, who hit a curling shot from the edge of the box straight into the bottom left corner.
After the break play was mostly in Churchvillas half but Lakewood couldnt score due to Churchvillas keeper pulling off some great saves.
10 mins from time a long ball from Harry McGinn found Arron McCarthy running into the box, past two defenders and fire off a shot. The keeper saves, but Arron get on the rebound to hammer it home.
Great team performance. Back up to 2nd in the League.
