Lakewood AGM

The Lakewood AGM was held on Monday Night with a large crowd in attendance
Chairman Noel Mullins welcomed everyone
He thanked all Managers Coaches Parents and players for their hard work and dedication throughout the year
He thanked the committee for their continued loyalty and support
To Humphrey for all his excellent work on the pitches which are always in excellent condition throughout the season
On the playing side we have teams in all the premier Divisions with some age groups having 3 teams across the divisions
There also has been cup and league success with promotions for our lower division teams
Our Ladies and Girls teams are thriving with numerous League and cup success and a very hard working Ladies Committee
Both academies continue to thrive with huge numbers out every Sat and Sun morning There are waiting lists in all age groups
A huge thank you to all the new coaches who have got involved in the last few years especially some of our past and present players
Also some of our players have been honoured on the international stage in both boys and girls
The development plan is ongoing with great work being done by the steering committee of Brendan Linehan, Colm Power, Niall Guerin, Mark Kenny. Mark O’Keeffe, Henry Smith
Mark O Keeffe then gave an outline of the development plan so far
Saying a lot is in place but still work to be done
Fergus gave a very detailed treasurers report outlining the cost of running the club and the income we need each year just to keep us on an even keel

Incoming Chairman Joe Dillon said after joining the club 25years ago and being involved with all the age groups through the years he said it was a great and exciting time for the club with all that was happening and he could not wait to help out in getting everything in place
