Lakewood flew out of the blocks and were 1-0 up when Steve Tobin scored from Eoin Forde’s corner. Jonny Rice Madden doubled the lead on 10 mins with a neat finish after a great through ball from Jonny Higgins. Lakewood were well on top at this stage and missed a few great chances to extend the lead further. Kenny Murphy got the third with a close range finish on the stroke of HT. lakewood continued to put pressure Springfield in the 2nd half and Eoin Forde scored a screamer from 25 yards after beating 2 min in midfield. With 25 minutes remaining Kenny Murphy scored his 2nd, this one from the penalty spot
