Josh Cotter opened the scoring with a thunderous header into the top corner from a great ball from Mateusz, who previously had the keeper scrambling with an earlier free-kick. Nikita drove down the middle and finished well after a fine through ball from Brian to add the second. Alan Crowley scored the third just after half-time after Nikita’s powerful run and cross. Patrick replaced Dara in goal before half-time after he was injured, bravely coming out to gather a ball. But neither they, nor the defence in front of them, ever looked like giving up a clean-sheet. Dan should have added a fourth in the last quarter, after he played a series of one-twos starting in his own half before shooting narrowly wide.
