A goal in each half saw the Lakewood U18 Premier team into the 3rd Round of the Munster Youth Cup.
The opener came from John O’Callaghan who attacked the cross and rifled the ball with his left into the roof of the net, after Seth Thornton did well down the right.
Josh Cotter then forced home the second from a corner, after a period of sustained second-half pressure.
And Patrick saved late on, with Luke reacting quickest to the rebound to ensure another clean sheet, but Lakewood should have added more to their tally, especially in the first half when they spurned multiple chances.
