A scoreline that doesn’t reflect the close nature of the game between the division 1 home team and the visiting Lakewood team from division 5. The home team were 3 nil up at half time after a penalty and a swerving wonder goal but Lakewood weren’t firing on all cylinders. The second half was more reflective of this Lakewood team with a dominant display. Between a fine series of Bandon goalkeeper saves and the crossbar it really could have been level at full time. Kerry William got a second half goal after a nice through ball from Daniel McCarthy and Bradley Keane also released Kerry a number of times but the keeper was up for the challenge. With great support from the U13’s, it’s testament to this teams character and ability that the team felt disappointed that they couldn’t cause a cup upset.
