A comprehensive victory for Lakewood in the highly anticipated local derby against Ballincollig. Dominant from the off, the game should really have been over by half time as time after time Lakewood contrived to miss when scoring looked easier. They did lead 2-0 however courtesy of two nice finishes from Jamie Dineen. The second half continued in the same vein but a greater percentage of chances were put away as Jamie contributed two more, Daniel O Driscoll also grabbed two and captain Colm Quigley also got in on the act. In fairness Ballincollig continued to play with the right attitude all through and two late goals were reward for that but the gap between premier and Div1 was too much in evidence and Lakewood move on to the next round
