U14 Premier League

Blarney Utd 3 Lakewood Athletic 4.
Somewhat flattering in the end for Blarney in a game that Lakewood dominated for long periods and comfortably  led 3-0 with 15 to go with 2 great strikes from Daniel ODriscoll and a debut goal for Olan Buckley who followed up off the keeper from Jamie Dineens drive.  A lapse in concentration and switching off brought 2 goals in 2 minutes for Blarney and gave them a brief flurry of hope which was quickly extinguished as Morgan Foleys nice pass found Jamie who rounded the keeper and tapped home for 4-2 and game over. The referee found 10mins of added time from somewhere but Lakewood were back in control before a harsh late penalty gave another consolation goal to the home side. Good solid performance from Lakewood which guarantees premier football for next year with 3 games left. First of the seasons objectives achieved. Well done to all the lads!
