Lakewood U12 Premier open their campaign with a strong performance and a 5-0 win over Springfield Ramblers. Most satisfying was the quality of the play on their official debut in the competitive age grades of the Schoolboys League. Johnny Galvin opened the Lakewood account midway through the first half, being rewarded for good pressure. The second half yielded four more goals (two from Sean Kirby and one each for George Howard and Ben O’Connell).
