Leeside 3-3 Lakewood
Another away point picked up as Danny Miskella scores a thrilling hat trick in Little Island tonight against a fancied Leeside team. Lakewood started brightly and created a number of dangerous chances that were put narrowly wide of the post. We conceded two before the break but battled back to 2-2 midway through the second half through determination and style. With five minutes remaining Leeside struck again but a resilient Lakewood worked the ball back up the pitch with strength and guile and when the ball dropped to Danny Miskella on the edge of the box the large crowd held their breath. A sweet volley hit the roof of the net unleashing massive celebrations. The performance trajectory in the first three games of the season has been on the way up which is just as well in a highly competitive league.
