As the 2018 season for Senior Women’s soccer in Cork is just beginning, it brings the exciting prospect of seeing double the Lakewood interest!
With the entry of two Lakewood Senior Women’s teams, Lakewood Athletic and Lakewood Rangers, the club has become the first in history to do so at Senior level in Cork.
Wednesday 2nd May
Lakewood Rangers v Dell EMC, ovens 7pm
Springfield Ramblers v Lakewood Athletic, Coleman Park Cobh 7pm
Overseeing the Athletic team, Craig Robinson continues to build on progressing the 2017 National Cup finalists team and hopes to challenge for League, local and national cup silverwear.
The Rangers team sees a mix of youth and experienced players and will extend a welcome to any player over 16 who hopes to take up soccer as a Sport. Both teams train together on a Monday evening in Lakewood Athletic and matches will take place weekly on Wednesday evenings. Any queries on joining can contact Aoife 087-7548254.
