2 nil down at half time Lakewood staged a remarkable comeback to win this pulsating game on Sunday afternoon. Within 7 minutes of the restart Alan O Connell struck a great goal to spark the revival. Shortly afterwards the sides were level. Anthony McSweeneys header rebounded from the crossbar and in the melee that followed he struck it to the roof of the net. Undaunted by another Macroom goal Lakewood, playing some great football at this stage kept piling on the pressure. Fifteen minutes from time they were rewarded when the tireless Colin McCarthy struck the equaliser.
