A tight and tough game from start to finish today on the Carrigaline astro. Carrigaline are the table toppers and pace setters in this division. Lakewood started brightly and created host of good chances in the first quarter. Carrigaline went ahead early in the second quarter when their centre forward isolated the Lake wood defence in a 1v1. Eary in the second half Lakewood pressure was rewarded by pressuring an OG. A ding dong end to end battle resulted and with only three minutes on the clock Carrigaline grabbed the winner with an instinctive long range shot that couldn’t be stopped. So once again only one kick of a ball separated the teams.
