Juniors into 4th Round

Lakewood march on to 4th round of FAI Junior cup after 4-1 win over Midleton. A good display today from the home team, Lakewood went 1 up after 15 minutes after a fine move involving Barry Lordan, Robbie Ahern and a fine finish from Arseni Lamenov. The second was scored by Kenny Murphy with a back post header from a Jonny Rice Madden corner. Midleton pulled on back to make it 2-1 at half time.

The second half was even until Gavin Flaherty scored the third for the home side. Gavin played a one two down the left wing before cutting into the box and finding the top corner with a great stike. Gavin scored his second with another one two which split the Midleton defence and a composed finish under the keeper. Best on the day was Gavin Flaherty
