How did you become interested in soccer?
Watching my brother playing soccer matches and with his friends when I was very small.
What sports icons have influenced you the most?
When I was small, it was Steven Gerrard – I had his poster hanging in my bedroom. Now it is Messi, Carli Lloyd and Matt Sheldon (a youtuber who founded ‘Become Elite’)
What are you most looking forward to traveling with the Senior International Squad?
Being involved in the training and testing myself against Ireland’s elite players.
What does it mean to you to represent Ireland?
It’s the highest honour in soccer to be able to play for your country, wear the jersey and to make my family proud.
What is your favourite thing about playing soccer?
My favourite thing is the adrenaline rush I get when I play well and pull off certain skills that I have been practising off the pitch. There’s nothing like the feeling of helping your teammates win a match!
