A depleted Lakewood were always going to be up against it versus a quality St Mary’s outfit and so it proved as the visitors hit 5 by half time and though Lakewood showed great character and fight in the second half a couple of late St Marys goals underlined the gulf between the teams. Best for a brave Lakewood were Paddy Cronin, Jack Mellerick and captain Nathan Davis.
