Lakewood 13A 6-1 Carrigtwohill.
Pressure on Carrigtwohill right from the start set the tone for the game. Lakewood had 2 wides and forced the keeper into a save inside the first two minutes. 8 mins in and Chris Warren blasts in a penalty which was followed up 4 minutes later with another goal from the midfielder. Striker Alex O Regan scored 5 minutes later. Lakewoods defence were rock solid and set up Alex for his second when a long clearance, from a corner, found him in midfield. He turned, dribbled past 4 defenders at speed and neatly chipped the oncoming keeper. 4-0 at halftime. A few attacks from Carrigtwohill early in the second half saw Lakewoods defence under pressure and the home team won a penalty after Evan O Driscoll received a yellow card for a trip. Lakewood responded by going into attack mode again. Ciaran Buckley and Dylan Quinn were relentless up the wing and kept piling pressure from the wing. Barry Keane hit the crossbar with a header and Ciaran hit it a second time after volleying the rebound. Arron Murphy hit the net for Lakewood next and Shadrach Mnaman finished the game off with a beautiful volley from the edge of the box which rocketed over the keeper into the net. 6-1. Great result
