Lakewood came from 3-0 down early in the second half to recover a point with a remarkable last 20mins capped with a tremendous hat trick from regular marksman Jamie Dineen who at that stage was back in a midfield role! Having put in their poorest performance of the season in the first half and trudged off 2-0 behind,they were asked to show what they were made of second half and even though they conceded a third early on, Jamie’s first which took him past 3 opponents before rifling a shot home across the keeper seemed to flick a switch. The hard running Daniel ODriscoll and Colm Quigley and outstanding Michael Murphy thundered into the game and when Jamie beautifully curled home a free kick with 8 mins left the comeback was on. Michael Brennan ensured a hectic ending with a great penalty save before Daniels super cross from wide left was met by Jamie to complete his hat trick to wild delight on the Lakewood line.
