Lakewood suffered their first defeat of the season on a strength sapping Sunday afternoon in Carrigaline losing by the odd goal in a somewhat disjointed display.
Never really coming to grips with the astro pitch and swirling wind Lakewood had a few scares before a defensive mix up handed Carrigaline the lead just before the break. Lakewood had a good spell early in the second half without reward but then grabbed the equaliser when Jamie Dineen chipped into the box and Daniel ODriscolls left peg did the rest to continue his run of scoring in every game to date. Lakewood would have settled for the point but that was grabbed away late on as a Carrigaline corner was eventually forced in to give the home side the points and leave Lakewood empty handed for the first time this season
